I’m Kathy, the heart behind Zens and Echoes. While some find their passion early, it took me time to discover the spaces that truly captivate me. Writing and scented goods have been my steady constants, both powerful in their ability to tell stories, stir emotions, and awaken nostalgia. You might find me wandering the aisles of department stores, lost among home fragrances, or tucked away at a spoken word night, savoring the performances from afar, quietly dreaming of stepping on stage myself.

Zens and Echoes was born from a simple mission: to help people create moments of love, connection, reflection, and intimacy through the power of scent.

Because life is made up of chapters. Some are quiet. Some are messy. Some feel ordinary, while others become the stories we never forget. And in between them, we are all creating, whether that means building a business, making art, nurturing a relationship, figuring ourselves out, or simply creating a life that feels like our own.

I believe our sense of smell is intimately linked to memory and emotion, and that the right fragrance can transport you to a place, a feeling, or a version of yourself you thought you’d left behind. Each candle is hand-poured with care and crafted to accompany you through the ordinary days, the becoming, the beautiful chaos, and the chapters you’re brave enough to write differently.

My dream is to continue expanding Zens and Echoes with scents and products that embody not only my own thoughts, feelings, and experiences, but also the stories of others. To create something that reminds you that there is beauty in every chapter, whether you are perfectly content with the life you have or quietly building the life you’ve always imagined.
